Module 3: Sexualized Violence

The goals of this module are to emphasize the importance of boundaries, communication, and respect when it comes to the concept of consent.

Learners will be able to better understand:

The various ways that sexualized violence can be conceptualized and defined, including legal definitions versus more inclusive, umbrella terminology
The causes of sexualized violence as they take root in sociostructural analyses
The significance of intersectionality in understanding the prevalence of sexualized violence and who it impacts
How to challenge myths and misconceptions about sexualized violence
The various laws and policies surrounding sexualized violence within Post-Secondary Institutions across so-called Canada.
